JiAn Social Welfare Institute

Lian's orphanage moved to a new location a few months ago. The social welfare institutes in China often have multiple buildings, some with children and some with elderly persons. The new buildings are much nicer. They welcomed us at the gate with fire crackers and a sign welcoming Lian and the Dyer family.  As you can see from one of the photos, the halls were decorated in some places.  The nanny holding Lian in one of these photos took care of Lian when she was a baby. She also took care of Jie Jie. The nanny was very happy to see Lian again and asked how Jie Jie was doing. The staff were very happy to show us the new facility and introduce us to the children. The little girl stacking the blocks is very cute. Lian and I clapped as she finished her tower and she beamed.  The director said this little girl has already been matched with a family and will be adopted soon.
