Wow! The terra cotta soldiers in Xian are amazing. The scale and the craftsmanship is too amazing for words or pictures. We wish our archeologist buddies were here to explain the dig to us! Just a few photos here. The first two are from Pit 1. The large statue is the General. I think the horse statues are beautiful. While we all were impressed, by the end of our time here, the kids were ready for the hotel or next event. Greg and I could have stayed much longer. Amelia said what we were thinking - maybe we can come back on our own with Mimi and Jerry and kids? By the way the weather has been excellent so far - clear skies and mild temperatures.
