Xian City

Tuesday night we stayed at a hotel with a dinner theatre. I took a picture of the outside of the hotel which was decorated when we arrived. In this part of China, their specialty is dumplings. We had over 14 different kinds of dumplings (pork, chicken, duck, egg, ham, fish, celery, cabbage, walnut, etc.) Often the shape of the dumpling was similar to the filling. I took a picture of a duck dumpling to give you the idea.

Tuesday was a long day - we left the hotel in Beijing at 6:30 am for the Xian flight and went straight to see the Terra Cotta soldiers. By 8 pm when the show was about to start, Lian was asleep on my lap so we missed the Tang Dynasty show. But I was happy to go to bed early too. We have all been waking up at 2 or 3 in the morning due to the time change, then trying to fall back to sleep. Their was only wifi in the lobby and sporadic at best so I hope to post this when we arrive in Chendu Wednesday evening.

I will send the photos in a separate post.
